Height calculation from levelling

Line and area levelling
Benchmarks can also be defined from intermediate sights within a line levelling. However, this should be avoided, because measurement errors or inaccuracies of the readings cannot be detected from intermediate sights. In the case of defining benchmarks for intermediate sights, possible errors in calculating the adjustment also have an effect on other points. As can be seen in Example 6, a warning message is displayed. However, a calculation is still possible.

A special situation occurs, if two benchmarks are entered as intermediate sights from one single instrument position (BM 104 and BM 105 in Example 6). Because only one point can be used for the calculation of the adjustment and error evaluation. Therefore, one of these points must be selected for calculation.
